A spinoff of the recently-launched American Noggin channel was proposed to timeshare with Nick Jr., but this never materialised. On the Astra 1B satellite of Sky's analogue satellite service, the new channel timeshared with Sky Sports 3 and broadcast between 6 am and 10 am, although this schedule would sometimes be altered if sports were being covered in the early morning. ![]() The channel launched on 1 September 1999 as the world's first dedicated preschoolers' channel.
